Wade Chipps, Managing Partner

Carson Capital is principally operated by Wade Chipps, a Veteran and entrepreneur who holds a strong belief that small businesses serve integral roles within our communities. Originally from a small town in Southwest Missouri, Wade grew up working for his parents’ construction company, building and remodeling homes. Shortly after graduating from high school, Wade enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served as a Special Forces Operator (“Green Beret”) for 6 years, completing two deployments to the Horn of Africa for a total of ~18 months.

More recently, Wade was an Associate within Piper Sandler’s Charlotte-based investment banking group. At Piper Sandler, Wade helped execute numerous sell-side M&A transactions for both founder-owned and private equity-backed companies. Wade’s deal experience includes working with companies across multiple industries, including precision cutting tool manufacturing, utility services, personnel staffing, security services and more.

Wade attended the University of Missouri, receiving a B.S. degree in Finance & Banking and graduating with a Summa Cum Laude designation.

Family, Teammates

Wade and his wife Alex live in the Charlotte area along with their two dogs, Hank and Charlie. On top of supporting Wade’s endeavors, Alex serves the foster children of Charlotte as a Guardian ad Litem, and works as a family advocate at Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center. Additionally, Alex is also pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

Alex and Wade enjoy spending their free time with friends and family, traveling and continuing to remodel their 1950s fix and flip which was supposed to be a “quick and easy”.
